momofuku
on our last day in nyc last week, juri and i went to momofuku for lunch. there was a small line outside prior to the 12pm opening, but we didn't have any trouble securing a seat. juri ordered the prix fix meal - shrimp bun, chicken soup w/handcut noodles, and truffles. i had the ramen. in addition, we ordered shiitake buns and shoyu egg.
the food was good, but i thought everything was just a bit too salty. juri said the pork that came with my ramen was really good...the noodles were cooked perfectly and the slow-poached egg was awesome. again, my only complaint was that everything had just a bit too much salt for my taste. the service was impeccable (water constantly refilled without asking) and i'd be happy to try some of the other momofuku restaurants.
